Bob and Dawn Jackson - June 26, 1965 - Providence, Rhode Island

The Wedding Weather Story The sun was shining. The sky was blue. It was about 78 to 80 degrees. The red roses were blooming in front of my home and climbing up the lamp post. The Hawaiian punch flowed from the ladles in the church parlor. Everyone behaved nicely commenting on the lovely day. The parties after the reception were the ones which were memorable to all but us as we were on our way to N.H. by then. I guess Judy Jackson had a grand time getting into the punch at Grandma Jacksons. Uncle Ron was bored by all of his middle aged brothers and sisters and you my dear were as yet not even a twinkle in your daddys eyes as your parents hadn't started dating yet. The rain didn't start until more than a week after our wedding. We have had some rain during our 41 years of marriage mostly recently as Rob has been so sick. We have had mostly sunny weather. Hurricanes arrive now and then with a few weekend telephone calls and occasionally relatives in the flesh. We do still want visitors though Hurricanes are interesting. We can usually find respite from the storms in the House of God though and highly recommend this shelter. Much love to BOTH of you with this highly unusual business ambition. We wish you few storms and lots of sunshine with just a few deluges to keep you on your toes. Love to all. Auntie Dawn
